The Official Dragon Ball Site Just Dropped Rare Toriyama Art And The OG Z-Fighters Are Back In Frame
Straight from the vault, the Official Dragon Ball Site put out lost Akira Toriyama artwork spotlighting the original Dragon Team roster.
The Official Dragon Ball Site just put out a rare artwork release pulled from Akira Toriyama's own collection, and it's bringing the original Z-Fighters back into the spotlight, according to GameRant.
This is a deep cut for real ones — the lineup goes all the way back to when the group was still called the Dragon Team, running with Goku's earliest companions Bulma, Oolong and Yamcha, GameRant reports. Of that trio, only Bulma is still considered a true Z-Fighter these days, and even Yamcha barely counts anymore.

Getting unreleased or lost Toriyama art straight from the official source is peak fiction behavior, and it's the kind of drop that has longtime fans immediately comparing the old roster to where the story ended up.
No word yet on whether more pieces from the collection are coming, but for a franchise this deep into its run, seeing the Dragon Team era get official love again is not something fans saw coming.
