Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Just Ghosted Daima's Canon All Over Again
Toriyama's final project added Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Super Saiyan Vegeta 3 to continuity, but the new remake isn't touching any of it.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is deep into its remake run this fall, and the timeline situation just got messier. The newest episode once again skips past everything Dragon Ball Daima set up, leaving fans wondering where the two shows are even supposed to line up anymore.
Daima was Akira Toriyama's final project before his passing, sending Goku through the Demon Realm and officially folding previously non-canon stuff — Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Super Saiyan Vegeta 3 included — into his canon. That left a real question mark over what Dragon Ball Super does next. When Beerus was announced as an enhanced redo of the original TV anime, complete with new cuts, visual effects, and reworked footage, fans hoped it'd finally be the moment those Daima additions, or ignored manga changes, got folded in. Instead, Beerus is running its own version of events without addressing any of it, leaving the overall Dragon Ball timeline as tangled as ever.
