Goku is missing from the Jump Festa 2027 key visual for the first time in years

Naruto and Boruto both made the poster while Dragon Ball got shut out of the stage lineup entirely.

Shueisha's key visual for Jump Festa 2027, set for December 19-20, 2026, doesn't include Goku anywhere, a first after years of him being a fixture on the poster even when Dragon Ball wasn't part of the main stage lineup, according to ScreenRant. One Piece, Dandadan, Naruto, Demon Slayer and Jujutsu Kaisen all got spots on the visual; Dragon Ball has no stage announced and no character on the art.

The absence stands out because Naruto, whose manga and main anime both wrapped years ago, still got a panel, and Boruto shows up on the visual with no separate panel confirmed at all. Toei has already announced Dragon Ball Super: The Galactic Patrol, adapting the Galactic Patrol Prisoner arc, but still hasn't given it a release date, and skipping Jump Festa makes a 2027 premiere announcement there look less likely.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus - October 11

This doesn't mean the franchise is done: Dragon Ball Super: Beerus is still set to premiere October 11, and Galactic Patrol is confirmed to be in the pipeline. But after decades of Goku being one of Jump's most reliable faces at its biggest event, having zero presence at Jump Festa 2027 is a genuinely strange look for the franchise right now.
