Dragon Ball Super: Beerus premieres at NYCC with new Goku fights beyond the manga
Episode 1 goes further than Toyotarou's source material, dropping fresh battles before the story even reaches Beerus.
Dragon Ball Super: Beerus officially premiered at NYCC 2026, and the remake is pulling closer to Toyotarou's manga than the trailers let on, according to GameRant. Recent footage teased Goku pulling out Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken against Hit, which had fans thinking the remake would just retrace the old anime's steps beat for beat.
Instead, Episode 1 opens with new fights for Goku that weren't in the original Battle of Gods arc, giving longtime fans scenes they've never actually seen animated before this premiere. No word yet on when the episode hits wide release for everyone not pulling up to a convention panel.
