Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Quietly Wrote The OG First Super Saiyan Out Of Canon
No announcement, no explanation — the remake's new flashback just skips him entirely.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, the remake currently airing, appears to have quietly erased the series' original first Super Saiyan from canon, according to ScreenRant. The retcon shows up in a reworked flashback of Beerus's premonition about the coming of a Super Saiyan God — a scene that no longer includes any allusion to the character.
This isn't the same move as Dragon Ball Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan, which fully swapped out and replaced an earlier story. Here, the anime just trims the reference instead of giving it a real send-off.
It's the latest reminder that Dragon Ball's canon keeps shifting under fans' feet through new movies, specials, and remakes — no debate, no official word, just gone.
