The lazy Saiyan’s Halloween: Dragon Ball looks under $40 that still land

You have a black tee and no plan. The cheapest way to be Goku, Vegeta or Roshi by the 31st — ranked by effort, with the full fits as the upgrade.

The honest Dragon Ball costume math: the hair is 80 percent of the character. Nobody at the party is checking your gi stitching; they are checking whether you have the Vegeta widow’s peak. So this list starts at $19.99 and only gets expensive if you let it. Everything here is from the Dragon Ball section at HalloweenCostumes.com as of October 9.

Wigs: $24.99–39.99. A Super Saiyan Goku wig over a black tee is a complete costume — that is not a cope, that is how the franchise works. The Vegeta wig is the second-best value because the silhouette is unmistakable from across the room. Kid sizes exist for Goku, Super Saiyan Goku, Gohan and Vegeta.

Kits and cheats: $19.99–39.99. The Master Roshi kit — bald cap, shades, beard — is $19.99 and turns any Hawaiian shirt into the funniest person in the room. The Piccolo mask is thirty dollars and zero green makeup. Saiyan armor over a blue long-sleeve is the budget Vegeta that works (kid size too). Roshi’s staff and the Dragon Ball purse finish any of the above.

$35–60: full fits that are on sale right now. If the lazy plan evolved, this is the tier where a whole costume costs less than two wigs. The women’s Goku is $49.99 at 40 percent off, and the adult Super Saiyan Goku is currently the cheapest adult gi on the site. Kid sizes in this range cover Goku, Vegeta, Trunks, Gohan and the tailed Kid Goku.

The not-lazy tier: $55–150. For when you lied about being lazy. Frieza, Piccolo with the cape, the authentic Goku gi, Vegeta’s armor, Roshi with the shell — the flex builds, plus the kid versions of each.

Prices and sale tags are what the site showed on October 9 and they move. Beerus premieres on Crunchyroll this Sunday; the costume can show up by the 31st.
